Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
